Brief History of NePalo Cabinetmakers
I started NePalo Cabinetmakers eleven years ago. Fine woodworking had been a hobby of mine for a long time, but by profession, I was trained as an engineer and received my MBA from UT Austin. With this background, I spent several years working as a banker, a consultant, a production manager, and a software designer. My heart, however, has always gravitated toward building beautiful things. Taking stock of our life, one day my wife suggested I take a chance and pursue my real passion — woodworking. We embraced the change in lifestyle and with the support of family and friends I began this journey with the hope of building a business that would incorporate both my engineering skills with my artistic vision. I moved my workshop out of my garage and into a large industrial space in San Rafael, California. With 3,000 square feet, I have been able to combine the use of classic hand tools with state of the art modern woodworking machinery. Over the years, I have met amazing people, made countless clients very happy, and continued to grow and develop both my craft and business. Currently, I am dabbling in the art of building hand-crafted acoustic guitars.
My diverse background, incurable drive for perfection, and drive to provide the best client experience possible allow me to combine my project managerial skills with my problem solving skills and craftsmanship into a unique package that translates into happy and satisfied clients.
